Is Lady Gaga's Album "Born This Way" The Most Pretentious Album of All Time?

Yes, according to NME Magazine.

NME magazine writer Priya Elan explains, "On Born This Way, [Gaga] seemed to believe in her own hype, convinced she had a message to share. Cue an album of unwieldy 'anthems' that couldn't mask the fact that the fun had left the building." Elan singled out the thumping "Scheiße" as BTW's most pretentious moment, adding, "Did electroclash die for this?"

Of course Gaga's "little monsters" where up in arms that their leader was being singled out and launched an all out twitter war with Priya Elan. Prompting Lady Gaga to respond, "Oh the irony of winning 'Most Pretentious Album Ever' from none other than NME. *Eye roll,*" Gaga wrote. "I might laugh forever [and] then return to narcissism."

Born This Way is not the most pretentious album of all time but lets to be naive and pretend it does not have pretentious undertones.
