Mitt Romney Caught in Another Lie About Bane Capitol
Mitt Romney has Repeatedly stated that all of the layoffs and other controversies surrounding Bane Capitol are not his fault because he retired form the firm in 1999.
According to his 2010 tax return the GOP candidate reaped lucrative tax breaks for taking an "active" participation in the private equity firm he founded.
Even if Romney could persuade the IRS his involvement was legitimately active, that still leaves him in a rhetorical jam: For tax purposes, he claims an active status; for political purposes, he claims to have zero to do with the investments.
What a shady fellow.
